2024: A Year of Exponential Growth at PushPress

There's a fascinating scientific theory that explains why time seems to speed up as we age: our brains encode new experiences more richly than routine ones, creating an illusion of the slowing of time. This perfectly captures 2024 at PushPress — a year so packed with innovation, learning, and growth that it feels like we've lived through several years in one.

This year has been transformative: we've shipped more features and improvements than the past few years combined, while building an extraordinary team that's just hitting its stride. From groundbreaking engagement tools to powerful automation features, we've reimagined what gym management software can be.

As we look forward to 2025, let me share the incredible progress we've made in the mission of helping you build stronger, more profitable gyms. And the most exciting part? We're just getting started.

PushPress

Strengthening Our Core Platform

Our commitment to building a world class gym management system. We're passionate about creating exciting new features that leverage technology or new approaches to help your gym grow. However, we never lose sight of what matters most: making sure the core system you rely on every day is rock-solid and best-in-class. Our commitment is two-fold — continuously perfecting the basics, while innovating for the future.

We began 2024 with a mission to make gym management simpler and more efficient. The introduction of Hybrid Plans gave owners more flexibility in structuring membership offerings, allowing our clients to sell memberships that package personal training along with it in one convenient monthly fee.

We also added Recurring Appointments — a perfect complement to Hybrid Plans — to allow staff members to reserve recurring time slots for a private training client.

PushPress

Early in the year, we released Flex Fees enabling our customers to offset payment processing fees onto the cost of the memberships. This feature has the ability to save our gym owners $1,000s per year — and was designed to allow our customers to keep every penny of their flexed fees.

Many of our new features were imagined through owners' feedback and designed to improve day-to-day operations in their gyms. Our new Plan Switch process makes it easier than ever to change your members’ membership plans.

We also just unveiled our redesigned Dashboard 2.0, which delivers a modern, intuitive interface. This isn't just a facelift — it's a complete reimagining of how you interact with PushPress, featuring AI-powered member outreach tools and instant access to your most important metrics. The new Dashboard also reduces time to load by a whopping 9x.

Further we've been working hard in our reporting areas, overhauling many of our reports and building the infrastructure for surfacing key data, faster. An example of this is how Celebrations Report helps you keep track of important member milestones and anniversaries.

One of our newest features making its way through closed beta testing right now is Priority Booking. This will allow you to designate certain plans with priority reservation windows. Look for this to launch in early January!

Driving Member Engagement

We identified member engagement as a cornerstone of functionality that we want to focus on, and we will continue to push our product development in this direction throughout 2025 and beyond. Member engagement features focus on creating connection between your members and your gym, between your coaches, and between your coaches and your members. This is shown to reduce churn and add value to your gym — which will result in better gym stability and revenue over time.

Our new Committed Club feature leads this initiative, creating an engaging way to recognize and reward consistent attendance. We built this system to allow our customers to enjoy the benefits of a committed club without having to invest the 5+ hours per month it takes to run one. Over time we’ll continue to make this feature better — which will make the Committed Club functionality better while reducing the time and energy you will have to spend administering it.

PushPress transformed our Committed Club from a simple social media post into the heartbeat of our gym culture. With their tools and gamification features, we’ve grown participation from 50 to over 100 members monthly, reduced churn by 1-2%, and created a fun, motivating system that keeps everyone aligned and striving toward our shared vision.”Joe Rouse, Breakaway Fitness and Performance

Included in our Screens update, we added member birthdays and anniversary showcases, giving coaches and classes the opportunity to celebrate these special moments in real time. These personal touches help create a more welcoming and connected gym environment where members feel truly valued.

The Train platform saw significant improvements in member engagement tools. Our new Habit Tracking feature, which we snuck in at the end of 2023, enables coaches to guide and monitor members' progress beyond just workouts — whether it's nutrition, mobility, or recovery practices. This deeper level of coaching helps deliver more value to your members while strengthening the coach-member relationship.

We also launched Train Challenges, a powerful community-building tool that lets you create engaging competitions like "Rowvember" or focused initiatives around hydration, daily steps, or other healthy habits. These challenges help foster a sense of community while encouraging members to pursue their fitness goals together.

Pushing Mobile Experiences

It’s (almost) 2025, and we understand your staff and members live on their phones, so we've transformed our mobile experience to meet them there. Here's what we delivered:

Our new Committed Club is embedded into your Members App — turning gym visits into an exciting game. Members can track streaks, earn achievements, and get automatic celebrations of their progress right on their phones. It's already helping gyms boost attendance and keep members engaged longer.

Starting January, members will get their own fitness Year in Review — think Spotify Wrapped, but for their gym journey. They'll see everything from their favorite workout times to their biggest achievements, making it easy to celebrate their progress and stay motivated.

We completely rebuilt the Screens App to make workouts clearer and easier to follow. With new features like split screens and zoom controls, members never miss a beat during class. And there's more coming in 2025 to help coaches run even better classes.

For your staff, we've put everything they need in one place. The Staff App now handles store sales, workout tracking, and member management — all from one simple app. Plus, with Train now fully integrated across all PushPress apps, managing workouts is seamless for both coaches and members.

AI Integration & Automation

PushPress

Artificial Intelligence has gotten some attention this year, with implementations that save you time and enhance member engagement. We began by looking at processes that are important for your business to run, but eat up your precious time.

One of the earliest features we’ve built is our AI-powered Social Auto Posting Tool (currently rolling out in closed beta) which helps you effortlessly create compelling content and automatically post it to your Member App Social Feed.

We've also integrated AI into our Migration Assistant, making the process of switching to PushPress smoother than ever — something our new customers have been clamoring for!

Supercharging Gym Growth

In 2024, we also rolled out powerful tools designed to help you grow your gym membership and revenue growth.

GymHappy (now free with all Grow accounts on our new pricing package) is transforming how gyms gather feedback and build their online presence. In November alone, our gyms collected over 4,000 reviews — averaging nearly 17 reviews per gym. This automated AI system handles everything from Google review requests to referral management, helping you build your digital reputation with zero effort while you focus on running your gym.

PushPress Grow, our all-in-one CRM and Lead Automation system, got some love with improved SEO capabilities, added specialized templates for martial arts gyms, and launched new CRM workflows to capture more growth opportunities.

These aren't just features — they're automated growth engines designed to help your gym thrive.

Infrastructure & Data Improvements

While many of our 2024 improvements are visible in your daily operations, some of our most transformative work happened behind the scenes.

Our engineering team modernized our entire codebase, unifying previously disconnected systems to deliver new features faster and more reliably than ever before.

Our redesigned App Store platform launched this year, with Committed Club as its flagship feature. Think of it as your gym's personal toolkit — you can add powerful features when you need them, without cluttering your dashboard with tools you don't use. This new approach not only keeps things clean and simple but also opens the door for exciting possibilities, including future third-party integrations that could bring even more value to your gym. The App Store should speed time to value in many key functionality areas in 2025 and beyond.

We've also assembled a stellar data team and migrated to Snowflake, a world-class data platform. This powerful combination of top-tier talent and technology means you'll get faster, more reliable reporting and deeper insights into your business performance.

These infrastructure improvements are more than just technical upgrades — they're our investment in delivering even more value to your gym in 2025 and beyond.

2024 was huge for us — but honestly, we're just warming up. We've built an incredible team this year that's ready to deliver even more in 2025. And since the new year is perfect for setting priorities, let's talk about where we're headed.

Unlocking larger returns to our gyms only comes from thinking different and thinking bigger — we won’t get there doing the same things everyone else is doing.

  4. Unlock More Cost Savings: PushPress's remains committed to continually find new cost savings in our customers' businesses. PushPress Insurance has been an amazing example of this, allowing our customers to save 34% on insurance on average — putting more dollars back into the hands of gym owners.
  5. Deliver (Free) Education: . As part of our partnership with you, we're committed to helping you become better business operators and more confident gym owners. From our just-launched podcast to our 2025 book, improved onboarding processes, PushStart's update, and investments into free webinars and series for our customers, this educational content will help you become more confident and more profitable gym owners.
