How Switching to PushPress Gave an Arizona Gym Owner the Gift of Time
TL;DR
For Holly Butler, switching to PushPress has been a game-changer for operations and growth. Here are four benefits of making the switch for her gym.

Before Holly Butler switched to PushPress, she admits she was hesitant to try another gym management software. First, she knew people generally don’t like change and didn’t want to cause a rift with her members. And second, the process seemed complicated.

Nonetheless, Butler - the owner of CrossFit Obsession in Gilbert, AZ - was using Wodify at the time and it wasn’t meeting her needs. She recalls that it was neither user-friendly nor cohesive, and running gym reports was a huge challenge. Further, she said she needed “way too many apps.” She also had a brief stint with ZenPlanner, with an equally-poor experience.

When she finally reached the breaking point, Butler decided it was time to explore options. And to her surprise, switching to PushPress was significantly easier than expected, both for her and her members.

Today, she’s all in, using the full suite of products, including PushPress Core, Grow, Train and the Branded App. And as you’ll see below, each one has provided her and her members more value.

The PushPress Grow Difference.

Of all the new PushPress tools available to Butler, she believes Grow has been the most beneficial. Not only has it led to an uptick in leads, but its workflows have been a huge time-saver. She explained that this is largely because of the various integrations.

“Wodify made it very difficult when it came to integration from website to Wodify, and Wodify to CRM,” she said. And as a result, she found herself having to manually perform a significant number of admin tasks.

On the other hand, Butler explained that PushPress Grow “beautifully integrates leads coming in from Google - or the website or Instagram - into Core and Grow.”

She went on to say, “I used to have to do a lot more manually and it was just a huge waste of time. The integration with PushPress has made my life easier. The workflows are tried and true. Leads turn into intros booked, and then into members. Grow does it all. And I was easily able to train my GM on how to use everything, too.”

Ultimately the workflows have allowed Butler to be effectively hands-off when leads first come into the system. As a result, without as much admin work to do, she gets the opportunity to focus on face-to-face interactions.

Three Additional Benefits of Switching to PushPress.

1. Connecting in The Social Feed.

Prior to switching to PushPress, Butler felt like the communication with her community was inefficient.

“I felt like I was trying to reach my members through twelve different channels, and it was a pain in the ass,” she said.

Now, thanks to the Social Feed in the Members’ App, it’s all streamlined in one spot. Butler feels like it’s made a world of difference in terms of member connection and increased engagement.

“I love the social aspect of it,” said Butler. “I’m tired of social media. Many of my members aren’t on social media.”

2. Reducing Other Gym Expenses.

We’ve yet to meet a gym owner who doesn’t like saving money. And since PushPress is designed to be a one-stop shop for gym owners, that’s exactly what Butler is doing.

After making the switch, she was able to cancel other monthly subscriptions, such as her previous gym CRM (customer relationship management) and website manager.

3. Enjoying the Industry’s Best Customer Service.

At PushPress, helping other gym owners is our top priority. We know what the struggles and successes feel like because we experience them in our own gyms. Butler said that since making the switch, she can feel how much the PushPress team cares.

“Every time I reach out, it has been less than twenty-four hours, not just to hear back, but to fix whatever I need fixed,” she said. She then added that this certainly wasn’t the case with either of her former gym management software companies.

In Summary: “Time is Money” for Gym Growth.

Holly Butler has only been with PushPress for several months, but has already noticed a huge difference for her gym, CrossFit Obsession. First, PushPress Grow has been a game-changer for lead generation and conversion. Second, her gym community is connected and engaged with the Social Feed. Third, the full suite of PushPress products has allowed her to save money by canceling other subscriptions. And finally, she has reclaimed some much-needed time and is using it to help her business grow. To her, this is priceless.

“Time is money,” she said. “It’s such a time saver, and a brainpower saver.”
